Last year, Heartland created a new state-level school choice reform program called Child Safety Accounts for students in unsafe school situations.
Bills have already been submitted in CO, KS, MO, SD, VA, WV, and WY, as well as DC (submitted by Congress), and legislators from other states have shown interest, including AL, NJ, PA, RI, and TN.
We have created a good amount of materials for this, including a book, various policy briefs for specific states, and we also created a project website for it.
