Battling it out on health care policy: Fact v. Fiction

The McCain campaign has put together a thorough refutation of the lies emanating from the Obama campaign regarding McCain’s health care plan. A Wall Street Journal editorial from last Saturday (read it here) noted that several key Obama advisors actually supported a McCain style reform before they opposed it.

Michael Gerson wrote that Barack Obama‘s and Joe Biden‘s attack on McCain’s health care plan is deceptive in almost every detail. Read Gerson’s article here.

Grace-Marie Turner and Amy Menefee posted a good summary of the two campaign’s health care plans here.

The Tax Foundation’s Robert Carroll writes here that “Almost Everyone Would Do Better Under the McCain Health Plan – His tax credit is larger than the current tax subsidy for insurance.”

Since most of the press is doing a woeful job covering the McCain campaign’s position, what follows is a link to and the graphics from the lastest McCain salvo.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden have consistently lied to Americans about John McCain’s plan. Their claims have failed every fact check from CBS to the Washington Post. John McCain is not going to raise taxes on middle class families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the only ones in this race that plan to raise taxes. Their recent attacks have become increasingly misleading.
