Dennis Hastert Indicted — Some of Us are Not Surprised

Isn’t it just one of those all American stories that a high school teacher and wresting coach can rise to become second in line to the presidency, amass a fortune reported to be in the tens of millions of dollars, so he can then be able to pay $3.5 million in hush money? Warms your heart, doesn’t it?

As you can see in my archives I am not a fan of Dennis Hastert, and for over a decade have been saying so. Some are expressing suprise that he was caught being up to no good. It’s called willful blindness. Hastert’s Speakership was a disaster for the country and for the Republican Party — especially in Illinois.
