Four years after President Jimmy Carter was sent packing Jack Kemp addressed the Republican National Convention in 1984 and opened his remarks by referring to President Ronald Reagan, “What a difference a president makes!” Indeed.
This time around, instead of “morning in America” we’re experiencing “mourning in America.” Playing off of the Reagan-Bush reelection campaign theme (see the first video below), a group called Citizens for the Republican have done up an ad to express the mood of the country after almost two years of the Obama Administration (see the second video below).
