We live in interesting times, times where the U.S. President, while claiming to be a Christian, criticizes Christians at a prayer breakfast for not being loving to homosexuals.
This in spite of the fact that BOTH the Old and New Testament condemn ANY sexual activity outside the sphere of biblical marriage — marriage of one man and one woman.
Times when the President threatens before the UN General Assembly:
The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.
And now, the latest out of, would you believe it, Texas.
Keller High School, in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, hired Ryan Roberts to be a motivational speaker.
The topic of the speech, “Alleviating stress in students’ lives,” and all was well until Roberts brought Jesus into the equation.

So this is where we are:
Military Chaplains are being reprimanded for speaking explicitly about Jesus and the Bible.
Christians are sued when they attempt to live out their biblically based values.
The President scolds Christians for not “celebrating” perverse lifestyle choices which contradict scripture.
A Fire Chief was suspended merely because a book he wrote espoused biblical values.
And a motivational speaker is fired for mentioning Jesus in a combatting stress speech to High School students in Texas.
How is it that America, founded on Judeo-Christian values, is suddenly, for all intents and purposes, adverse to those biblical values? How have we come to this place in history where America, many of whose founders claimed a personal relationship in Jesus Christ, is actively silencing citizens who would do the same?
And, in the words of my friend, Duane Patterson, when was “the right to not be offended” in the Bill of Rights?
President John Adams said:
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Senator Daniel Webster noted:
Whatever makes men good Christians, makes them good citizens.
Samuel Adams, signer of the Declaration of Independence, “Father of the Revolution,” Boston Governor proclaimed:
I . . . [rely] upon the merits of Jesus Christ for a pardon of all my sins.
Charles Carroll, signer of the Declaration of Independence, framer of the Bill of Rights admitted:
On the mercy of my Redeemer I rely for salvation and on His merits, not on the works I have done in obedience to His precepts. Grateful to Almighty God for the blessings which, through Jesus Christ Our Lord…
I could go on and on. That the Progressives, walking in the steps of Wilson and Dewey, should seek to hide our godly heritage is shameful.
But beyond that, Obama and the Progressives now seek to silence and punish Christians who are only obeying scripture.
