Obama’s Million-Dollar Oceanfront Hypocrisy

Nate Jackson ridicules the Obamas for their million-dollar oceanfront hypocrisy:

Barack and Michelle Obama used their fortune to buy a mansion right on the coast.

“This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow,” Barack Obama boasted of his 2008 nomination to run for president.

“Rising sea levels threaten every coastline. … The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear. Sea levels are rising. Coastlines are shrinking,” Obama declared in 2009 — similar to numerous pronouncements about the dire straits of the globe due to climate change.

“I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money,” Obama pontificated in 2010.

Well, apparently he thinks that he hasn’t made enough money yet. And evidently he thinks that he must have done enough to address rising sea levels with executive orders about building codes and massive power grabs by the EPA. Because Obama took the millions of dollars he and Michelle have raked in since he left the Oval Office two years ago and bought a $15 million mansion on Martha’s Vineyard — right on the ocean. (And that’s after spending $8 million on a home in DC.) The pair is now worth an estimate $135 million, so why not?
