October 8th Is Bring Your Bible to School Day…Really!

I didn’t know this until I received an email from a friend: I don’t have kids and am not always up on the latest.

But this? I am so on board with this!

Today, October 8th, is “Bring Your Bible to School Day” and hundreds of thousands of young people, some grade school kids, some older, will bring their Bibles to school.

One thing I know is this:

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

And also:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

So on this day, in this United States of America, suddenly school kids everywhere are able to bring their Bibles to school! The Founders would think it nothing odd: modern day Progressives might consider it an outrage.

But young people, holding God’s Word, standing strong? That’s a wonderful thing.

I don’t know about you, but I will be praying and praising God for a new generation standing for the Way, the Truth, and the Life in a world that’s lost and in need of God’s mighty power.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

Scripture in school…what a concept; certainly better than Common Core.
