Michael Avramovich has a post up at the Touchstone Magazine website that contains information few Americans know. That lack of knowledge, of course, is not unlike what people don’t know about all of the other issues. Economic ignorance is rampant. History? Are you kidding? It’s not taught in the schools. The fact that WMDs were found in Iraq. And on and on…from how government has screwed up the health care system to how government employees steal from taxpayers through exorbitant pensions.
If conservatives don’t stop waiting for the liberal and dishonest press, or Hollywood, or the lefty-controlled K-college schools to disseminate the critical information people need to make good decisions at the ballot box, this nation can’t be saved.

Paul Church, M.D., is a veteran urologist who has been on the staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (“BIDMC”) in Boston for nearly 30 years. BIDMC, which is also a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, has been ranked for many years as a “Best Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report, and is described as “one of the nation’s preeminent academic medical centers, committed to providing excellence in clinical care, teaching, research and community outreach.”
Dr. Church, as a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty, has conducted extensive research on prostate and bladder cancer. He has also offered his medical training and skills to the poor on numerous occasions during volunteer mission trips to Mexico and Africa. However, Dr. Church has now been terminated from BIDMC. What was his crime? According to BIDMC, he violated “established standards of professional conduct” by using BIDMC’s information system “to communicate . . . unsolicited views about homosexuality that were offensive to BIDMC staff.” As a result, BIDMC President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kevin Tabb wrote the following to Dr. Church in late March, “The [Medical Executive Committee] has recommended imposition of disciplinary action, in the form of revocation of your appointment to the Medical Staff.”
Dr. Church’s “crimes” began eleven years ago. After receiving an announcement involving BIDMC’s support for an LGBTQ+?-related event, he responded with the following:
The evidence is irrefutable that behaviors common within the homosexual community are unhealthy and high risk for a host of serious medical consequences, including STD’s, HIV and AIDS, anal cancer, hepatitis, parasitic intestinal infections, and psychiatric disorders. Life expectancy is significantly decreased as a result of HIV/AIDS, complications from the other health problems, and suicide. This alone should make it reprehensible to the medical community, who has an obligation to promote and model healthy behaviors and lifestyles.
