The last day of a tumultuous year has finally arrived; 2015 fades as 2016 awaits on the horizon.
America has suffered attacks, both outward and inward in the last decade, and especially in the last 7 years as Obama determined to eradicate all vestiges of our Christian/Judeo heritage and constitutional republic. The President waged a war, with the weaponry of Executive Orders, on our religious liberty and Second Amendment rights.
The Progressives (aka Marxists) understand that to build their new socialist utopia, they must first destroy the ardent and biblical ideology within America’s citizenry. And to that end, the inspired words of The Declaration of Independence are an anathema:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness; that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed . . .
Obama, the Progressive President, does not believe he derives his just powers from the consent of the governed, but rather as a natural conclusion to his enlightened intellect and brilliant community organizing abilities. The President has governed by fiat, pronouncing laws that “the governed” found immoral and offensive, and even ungodly.
So here we are, on the precipice, 2016 awaits.
We would do well to think on these mighty words:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
…
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
Obama’s “long train of abuses and usurpations” compel me to ponder the correct course of action.
A short list of those abuses:
The President has applauded and supported the baby infanticide machine, Planned Parenthood. He has championed the homosexual lifestyle and degraded God’s plan for marriage. He has sided with Islamists and abandoned Israel. He has opened our borders and waved a green flag for a mass influx of illegals, some of whom are terrorists. He has dictated a socialist health care plan that stripped millions of health insurance. He has waged all-out war on our God-given right to protect ourselves and guard against tyranny by attacking the Second Amendment. He told lie after lie following the Islamic terrorist attack in Benghazi; he lied about the cause, and lied to the loved ones of those murdered in the attack.
The indictments against Barack Obama are grievous, and with twelve months remaining in his last term, with no repercussions for any upcoming Executive Orders, I expect his acute arrogance will prompt a full-scale offensive attack on any residual national virtue. The Founders would have been aghast at a Commander in Chief whose tyranny surpasses that of King George.
What to do?
First, I must, as a Bible-believing Christian, intensify my prayers for my beloved nation and her leaders. Proverbs 21 tells us:
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21:1
I must hit my knees often and pray fervently:
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
I must pray that God steers the hearts of our elected leaders toward right and righteous legislation, and frustrates any and all wicked laws, opinions and rulings. I must pray that every last patriot, every God-fearing conservative in America, is compelled to pray AND act AND vote.
And second?
I must buy ammo and intensify my training. Yes. I believe in the Second Amendment and I carry. My intent is to be at least a sheepdog, but my aim is to be a lioness.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
The Second Amendment is both biblical and constitutional.
I have recommendations for training as well. Two of my good friends, former SEALs, are the best of the best for training.
First, Chris Sajnog.
Chris is a retired Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer, Sniper Instructor, paramedic instructor, karate instructor, husband, father and patriot.
He was hand selected to develop the curriculum for the US Navy SEAL Sniper training program.
Sajnog was the Navy SEAL senior sniper instructor, certified Master Training Specialist (MTS), BUD/ S and advanced training marksmanship instructor.
Currently Chris is a DOD and DHS certified Counter-Terrorism and Advanced Marksmanship Instructor.
Sajnog has trained DOD, DHS, FBI, CIA, Law Enforcement and multiple foreign allies in all aspects of combat weapons handling, marksmanship and tactics.
Chris’ books, How to Shoot Like a Navy Seal and Navy SEAL Shooting are must reads. He also offers memberships for law enforcement or civilians which aid either new or veteran shooters.
Second, Jeff Gonzales.
My friend, ROBAR GM LtCol USMC(Ret) Freddie Blish testifies:
Jeff Gonzales, President and Owner of Trident Concepts, is a former Navy SEAL and Gunsite Range Master. He is one of the best instructors within the circle of “Tier One” Firearms Instructors. He also has the most demanding standards bar none. When I want to be challenged and pushed to the next level of my shooting abilities I train with Jeff, hands down.
As for me? I was fortunate to attend Jeff’s Conceal Carry Tactics class in Phoenix last February, and plan on attending once again in February 2016.

I would admonish EVERY single shooter who has not had a CC tactics course to do so before carrying: the weapon will only fend off threats if your skill is appropriate to do so.
As for me? I’m a work in progress. But I’m thrilled to be farther down the road, closer to my own daily, low-profile, loadout routine.

So there you have it. My plan of action; my battle plan both figuratively and literally.
I will be praying fervently and training relentlessly, and I challenge you to join me and right the course of these United States. We would do well to commit ourselves to renew these words:
And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
Thereby, we can all say we are patriots in word AND deed.
