“I Can Only Imagine,” the movie named after the Mercy Me song, opens in theaters everywhere next Friday, March 16.

I have loved the song since it’s debut, and fully expect to love the movie — the story is true and tremendous, and the Erwin Brothers direct terrific movies packed with heart and values woven through great performances and characters.
But here’s a little gem shared by Harvest Church Pastor Greg Laurie on Instagram: Dennis Quaid, long-time recognized and very talented actor, has his own faith story. And that story of Jesus and redemption just never gets old, though it is, as the hymn says, “the old, old story, of Jesus and His love.”

God’s grace is still amazing and changing the most unlikely of hearts, from the little known to the widely known. Man is plagued with a sickness called sin. But Jesus is the cure and whoever seeks Him with their whole heart will find Him!
