What’s Really Behind This Deranged Hysteria?
RUSH: So what explains this? I know I’ve kind of teased this, but I’m gonna get to the point. I’m gonna give you a possibility, and it goes against the grain, again, of conventional wisdom. And I always am against the grain on conventional wisdom. Conventional wisdom is groupthink. I have never been part of groupthink.
I mean, it’s not that I have to try not to be part of it; I’m not. I don’t think the way groups think. I certainly don’t think the way this mob, this out-of-control, irrational, meltdown mob of the entirety of the U.S. media, Democrat Party, much of the Republican Party and the entire Washington establishment, they’re strangers to me.
I could never think as they think. But they all think it, and they all think it in unison, without even talking to each other. I think there is a possibility here that we are watching the deep state, the establishment, the media, the Democrat Party, I think that we are watching them desperately try to keep this Russian collusion conspiracy theory alive. And I think that they would have reacted the same exact away no matter what had happened in that press conference yesterday.

I think when Rod Rosenstein went out and announced this indictment, and then admitted that no votes were affected by this Russian meddling — that the outcome of not a single election was affected by what these Russians are alleged to do in this indictment — it caused a panic to ripple throughout the deep state, throughout the Democrat Party and the media. I think it was seen as, “Oh, my God. Mueller doesn’t have the goods!” I think these people have believed…
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I just received an email that indicated I need to repeat my theory again about what really explains this inexplicable behavior. I mean, stop and think really of what we have seen since the Trump-Putin press conference ended yesterday. It’s almost indescribable. And there are people who are telling us Donald Trump is not right, that he’s mentally unstable, that he’s not very smart, poses a great threat because of his unsophisticated manner.
The people leveling these charges are a making it look like they are recent escapees from asylums and that they need to be sent back. We have heard people on MSNBC claim that what Trump did with Putin is akin to Hitler murdering Jews on Kristallnacht. It’s irrational to the point that it can’t be rationally explained.
So what does explain it? Why is this unified, over-the-top, inexplicable, embarrassingly deranged — and these people do not know how embarrassing it is to watch them.
Wray: The Russians Don’t Tamper with Election Infrastructure
RUSH: Christopher Wray, the FBI director, was out at the Aspen Institute for ideas, as opposed to the Aspen Institute for skiing. And they were talking about ideas at the Aspen Institute. And you know what Christopher Wray said? Are you ready for this? He said, “Look, the Russians do not tamper in our infrastructure, in election infrastructure.”
I said, “Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what?” Say that again. Happily. “The Russians do not tamper in our election infrastructure.”
So what does that mean? For those of you in Rio Linda what it means, point-blank, is the Russians don’t deal with tampering with the votes. Election infrastructure is the polling place, the voting machines, the people that count the votes and do all that. That’s the voting infrastructure. And here’s the director of the FBI, the descendant of James Comey. James Comey, Clapper, Brennan, all these people that have been trying to tell us the Russians screwed with the votes. That’s what they’ve been trying to say. That’s what they’ve been referring to. They want you to imply, they have come out and said so directly, but stealing the election, that’s what that means.
But then we had the Rosenstein-announced Mueller indictment last Friday in which he made it clear that not a single vote was changed and not a single election outcome was affected by any of this. So Christopher Wray, the FBI director, owns up and says, “No, no, no. They do not tamper in our infrastructure. They try to destabilize the integrity of our system by usually backing losers and getting the losers all upset claiming something went awry, and that promotes disharmony and distrust of the election system.”
The Thinking Class Is Clueless on Trump and Putin
Again I ask. Do they want Trump to go over there and confront Putin and wag the finger and call him a cheater and call him a thug and start insulting the KGB and say, “How dare you tamper in our elections. Don’t you remember when Obama told you to cut it out? Well, I’m telling you to stop it, too.” Why, is that what they want him to do? By the way, what good was it when Obama went over and told him to cut it out? Obama told the KGB to cut it out, and they didn’t cut it out. They’re still doing it. Well, of course I have a theory.
Can somebody answer a quick question for me? For those of you in the Drive-By Media, those of you in the Democrat party, can anyone cite a single example when a U.S. president directly confronted another country’s president in public? Waiting for the countdown. Can anybody tell me, can you recall — let me rephrase it. Has any U.S. president done to a foreign leader in public what apparently the Drive-Bys and the Democrats wanted Trump to do to Putin? Not in public. It’s never happened.
Clapper Admits: Obama Started All of This
RUSH: Let’s go to the audio sound bites. We’re gonna go back to March 19th this year, me, to set up what’s coming next with James Clapper. Are you ready? Three, two, one, hit it.
RUSH ARCHIVE: The Mueller investigation is the cover-up. The Mueller investigation is to hide what Mueller and the establishment and the Democrats and the media and crooked, Crazy Hillary were doing all during the campaign. The Mueller investigation is to hide that, is to cover up what they did under the guise of trying to find so-called perps and enemies, which are Trump and Russia.
RUSH: I want to remind you again — not to get too much time between these reminders — Christopher Wray, the director of the FBI, was at the Aspen Institute for skiing. And they had an ideas summit out there. And he told everybody — I think Walter Isaacson still runs this place. There’s a lodge halfway up one of the mountains. They all go up there. They have lunch, and that’s the Aspen Institute. And they sit around and do their ideas, and then they come back later, go skiing.
And Christopher Wray said, “The Russians never tamper with our election infrastructure.” What they do is attempt to destabilize by generally focusing on the losers and trying to create news items, Twitter feeds, what have you, that make the losers think that they were cheated. The Russians, said Christopher Wray, are all about destabilization.
Oh, and do you know what else he said? He said the real cyber threat, the actual real threat to United States is from the ChiComs. The People’s Republic For the People of China. Now, Trump has said the same thing and the Drive-Bys just pilloried him. Trump said the same thing about the ChiComs. Thomas Friedman of the New York Times loves the ChiComs. Thomas Friedman drools over the way the ChiComs do things.
2016: Obama Ordered Stand Down Against Russian Hacking
RUSH: Now, I want to go back to June 20th, 2018 — actually it’s a story — not go back, but the story’s today, but it’s about past events. Michael Isikoff, chief investigative correspondent for Yahoo News.
“Obama cyber chief confirms ‘stand down’ order against Russian cyberattacks in summer 2016 — The Obama White House’s chief cyber official testified Wednesday that proposals he was developing to counter Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election were put on a ‘back burner’ after he was ordered to ‘stand down’ his efforts in the summer of 2016.”
This is the Obama administration. They knew the Russians were hacking. They knew Russians were engaging in cyber warfare, and the Obama White House chief cyber official testified that he was told to stand down. So Obama didn’t do anything about the Russians! Obama was telling everybody the Russians could not hack the presidential election. Obama was telling people that it was too massive and widespread and intricate, it couldn’t be done.
The Establishment Doesn’t Realize They’re Driving Voters to Trump
RUSH: I don’t want you to repeat this to too many people ’cause I don’t want the deep state to learn from this. So, you know, talk to your friends about this, but don’t call other shows and start saying you thought of this. Just keep it to yourselves, okay?
These people from the media, to the Republican and Democrat parties, to the Never Trumpers — the whole Washington complex — they have no earthly idea how many people they are pushing toward the Donald Trump campaign. I’m talking voters. They have no idea. They haven’t the foggiest idea what they’re doing.
